What makes a house a home...

This delightful client was embarking on a new chapter in life – retirement! We collaborated on the design of a newly constructed garden home in Westfield, Indiana, while simultaneously staging her cherished home of 50 years for sale in Carmel. The objective was to create a space that would beautifully showcase her collection of antiques and family heirlooms.

The color palette we selected is both serene and inviting, featuring cabinets and woodwork adorned in a harmonious blend of warm whites and cool grays. These tones are complemented by the richness of the wood floors, brushed stainless steel hardware, a vanilla chenille sofa, and a stunning glass chandelier.

The home, crafted by Epcon, was impeccably furnished with drapes provided by Taylor Made Sewing, adding the perfect finishing touch to this elegant transformation.

A historical school gets a new coat of paint

Built in 1938 by the Work Progress Administration (WPA), the Murphy School is the oldest building in the City and is destined to begin a new phase in its service to the community. Classified as "Adaptive Reuse," the scope of work includes restoration to the historic character of the building, exhibiting relics related to the history of Murphy, supplying spaces to accommodate activities for citizens of all ages, and providing spaces that rent for family use such as weddings and birthday parties. The building will be remodeled to serve as the City’s new Community Center and will include meeting rooms, large assemblies, banquets, classrooms, and general exercise/recreational uses.
